About the Role
Join Microsoft's Azure Data engineering team as a Software Engineer and be part of the transformation of analytics in the world of data.
Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer, you will build and operate backend platform services that power Microsoft Fabric, contributing to deployment reliability and operational excellence across global Azure regions.
- Build and operate backend platform services (Service Fabric, capacity management, routing) that power Microsoft Fabric.
- Contribute to deployment reliability and operational excellence across global Azure regions.
- Improve platform resilience through testing, telemetry, and incident response.
- Collaborate with workload and partner teams to deliver scalable, secure platform capabilities.
- Participate in on-call rotations and help continuously improve service health.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
- Proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C#, C++, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
Resume Tip
Highlight your experience with C#/.NET and cloud services (Azure), distributed systems, microservices, or large-scale backend services, as well as your familiarity with CI/CD (Azure DevOps), Kusto/KQL, infrastructure-as-code, or containers.
