About the Role

As a QA Engineer at Milliman, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications by designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing requirements, developing test cases, and executing manual and automated tests to validate software functionality.

You will work closely with the development team to identify and report defects, and collaborate with them to develop and implement fixes. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to communicate effectively will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive testing strategies to ensure software quality and reliability
• Develop and execute manual and automated test cases to validate software functionality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing requirements
• Identify and report defects, and collaborate with the development team to develop and implement fixes
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in software testing

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related stream
• Basic knowledge of Software Testing concepts
• Understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
• Basic programming knowledge in Java
• Experience with testing frameworks and tools (e.g. JUnit, TestNG)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
