About the Role
In this Accounts Trainee role at M/s. G Krishnamurthy & Co, you will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks, handling GST and Income Tax filings, and assisting with firm and society registrations. Your primary goal will be to ensure accurate and timely completion of these tasks, while also maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This role is ideal for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accounting tasks using Tally software, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial record-keeping.
- Handle GST filing and related compliance, staying up-to-date with the latest regulations and deadlines.
- Manage Income Tax (IT) filings, ensuring timely submission of returns and payment of taxes.
- Assist in registration of firms and societies, coordinating with clients and regulatory bodies as needed.
- Assist and apply for PAN cards and related documentation, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to company policies.
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and other financial documents, using tools like Microsoft Excel.
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and regulatory bodies, providing clear and concise information on accounting matters.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Tally software, with experience in using its various features and functionalities.
- Knowledge of GST and Income Tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Basic understanding of financial accounting principles, including assets, liabilities, equity, revenue, and expenses.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly, with a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
