Devops intern

About the Role

As a DevOps intern at NxtHive, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our software development lifecycle. This involves working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues, implementing automation scripts to streamline processes, and collaborating with engineers to design and deploy scalable infrastructure solutions.

Day-to-day, you will be working on tasks such as monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.

As a DevOps intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and contribute to the growth and development of our software development ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement automation scripts using Shell Scripting and tools like Ansible to streamline processes and improve efficiency
• Collaborate with engineers to design and deploy scalable infrastructure solutions using cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and New Relic
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Git to improve deployment speed and reliability
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues and improve overall system performance
• Develop and maintain documentation for DevOps processes and tools
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the growth and development of our software development ecosystem

Skills & Qualifications

• Linux and Shell Scripting fundamentals
• Experience with containerization using Docker
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and CircleCI
• Basic understanding of Git and GitHub
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
