About the Role

As a Junior Accountant at Optiontown, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with the accounting team to identify and implement process improvements, and contribute to the development of financial models and forecasts. Your day-to-day tasks will involve data entry, reconciliations, and analysis of financial data.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Reconcile financial statements with bank statements and other external records.
• Perform financial analysis and provide insights to management on financial performance and trends.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as Tally or QuickBooks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certification in accounting, such as CA or CMA, is a plus.
