About the Role

Join OviGuide as a Software Development Engineer (SDE) Intern and contribute to building an AI-powered platform that helps students make informed college choices.

As an SDE Intern, you'll work directly with the founding team and contribute to real product features that impact students during critical counseling periods.

Responsibilities

• Develop clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Build new features from idea to deployment
• Write unit tests and integration tests
• Debug and resolve production issues
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and founders
• Identify opportunities for performance and scalability improvements
• Take ownership of tasks and deliver high-quality solutions
• Continuously learn and adopt best engineering practices

What You'll Need

• Strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms
• Solid programming skills in at least one language: Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C++
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles
• Familiarity with databases and SQL
• Knowledge of REST APIs and backend fundamentals
• Experience with Git and GitHub
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently
