About the Role

As a Node JS Developer at Photon Group, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and efficient server-side applications using Node.js. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, and collaborate with other developers to ensure seamless integration of features. Your primary focus will be on building robust and maintainable codebases using the latest Node.js technologies and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable server-side applications using Node.js and Express.js.
• Implement efficient data storage and retrieval mechanisms using databases such as MongoDB or PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with the front-end team to integrate API endpoints and ensure seamless data exchange.
• Develop and maintain high-quality, well-documented codebases using best practices and standards.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in production environments, and implement fixes to ensure minimal downtime.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Node.js technologies and frameworks, and propose improvements to existing codebases.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve overall code quality.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in JavaScript, including ES6+ syntax and features.
• Experience with Node.js and Express.js, including routing, middleware, and request/response handling.
• Knowledge of asynchronous programming concepts, including callbacks, promises, and async/await.
• Experience with templating engines such as Jade or EJS.
• Understanding of design patterns and principles, including SOLID and dependency injection.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
