Motor Underwriter

About the Role

As a Motor Underwriter at PromptTech Global, you will be responsible for evaluating and assessing the risks associated with motor insurance policies. This involves analyzing customer information, assessing the likelihood of claims, and making informed decisions about policy issuance. Your primary goal will be to ensure that policies are issued accurately and efficiently, while also maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and assess customer applications for motor insurance policies, ensuring that all necessary information is provided and accurate.
• Evaluate and analyze risk factors associated with each policy, including driver history, vehicle condition, and other relevant factors.
• Make informed decisions about policy issuance, taking into account the assessed risks and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with customers to clarify any issues or concerns, and provide clear explanations of policy terms and conditions.
• Work closely with internal teams, including sales and customer service, to ensure seamless policy issuance and customer support.
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes, and ensure that policies and procedures are adjusted accordingly.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of new policies and procedures, to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as insurance, finance, or business.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex risk factors.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and ability to learn new software systems quickly.
• Knowledge of motor insurance regulations and industry standards, with a willingness to stay up-to-date with changes and developments.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently, with a high level of attention to detail.
• Time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
