About the Role

As a Machine Learning Platform & Full Stack AI Engineer at Protolabs, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying AI-powered solutions that integrate seamlessly with our software platforms. Your primary focus will be on building and maintaining scalable AI infrastructure, ensuring efficient experiment tracking, and implementing robust model registries. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into our software products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable AI infrastructure to support machine learning workloads.
• Implement experiment tracking and model registries to ensure reproducibility and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain CICD pipelines for AI model deployment.
• Integrate vector databases and LLM serving frameworks to enhance AI capabilities.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate AI features into our software products.
• Monitor and optimize AI infrastructure to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning to recommend improvements to our AI infrastructure.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in software engineering, including programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Experience with AI infrastructure, including experiment tracking, model registries, and CICD pipelines.
• Familiarity with vector databases and LLM serving frameworks.
• Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
• Experience with monitoring and optimization of AI infrastructure.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
