Research Assistant

About the Role

As a Research Assistant at the Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar (IIPHG), you will be working on the AWARE- Early Warning System for climate-change related diseases project. Your primary responsibilities will include data mining, harvesting, and web scraping, as well as conducting in-depth interviews and preparing interview transcripts. You will also be involved in developing detailed reports from secondary and primary data, and developing manuscripts for publication.

Key Responsibilities

• Data mining, harvesting, and web scraping to gather relevant information for the project
• Conducting in-depth interviews with stakeholders and preparing interview transcripts
• Developing detailed reports from secondary and primary data
• Developing manuscripts for publication in academic journals
• Scheduling and assisting in organizing meetings with government officials and other stakeholders
• Managing all project-related communications with internal and external stakeholders

Skills & Qualifications

• Master's degree in Health and allied fields
• Formal education in research methods, especially quantitative and qualitative research methods (desirable)
• Academic writing skills
• Proficiency in Python and R programming languages
• Experience with machine learning techniques and deep data analysis
• Web scraping and data mining skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
