About the Role
As a Research Assistant at the Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar (IIPHG), you will be working on the AWARE- Early Warning System for climate-change related diseases project. Your primary responsibilities will include data mining, harvesting, and web scraping, as well as conducting in-depth interviews and preparing interview transcripts. You will also be involved in developing detailed reports from secondary and primary data, and developing manuscripts for publication.
Key Responsibilities
- Data mining, harvesting, and web scraping to gather relevant information for the project
- Conducting in-depth interviews with stakeholders and preparing interview transcripts
- Developing detailed reports from secondary and primary data
- Developing manuscripts for publication in academic journals
- Scheduling and assisting in organizing meetings with government officials and other stakeholders
- Managing all project-related communications with internal and external stakeholders
Skills & Qualifications
- Master's degree in Health and allied fields
- Formal education in research methods, especially quantitative and qualitative research methods (desirable)
- Academic writing skills
- Proficiency in Python and R programming languages
- Experience with machine learning techniques and deep data analysis
- Web scraping and data mining skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
