Articled Assistant

About the Role

As an Articled Assistant at Ravi Ladia and Co, you will be responsible for assisting chartered accountants in various tasks related to taxation, financial statements, and audits. Your primary role will be to provide administrative support, gather data, and perform tasks that aid in the smooth functioning of the company's accounting and auditing processes.

Day-to-day, you can expect to work on tasks such as preparing and reviewing financial statements, conducting internal and statutory audits, and assisting with GST and TDS filings. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and providing support to the audit team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct internal and statutory audits to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Assist with GST and TDS filings, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
• Prepare and review tax returns, including income tax returns and tax audit reports.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, including bank statements and ledgers.
• Provide administrative support to the audit team, including data gathering and document preparation.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, and ensure compliance with all relevant requirements.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
• Knowledge of taxation laws and regulations, including direct and indirect taxes.
• Proficiency in accounting software, including Tally and QuickBooks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
• Basic knowledge of GST and TDS filings, including registration and returns.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple deadlines and priorities.
