About the Role

As a Medical Coding Specialist at Resolve Medicode, you will be responsible for accurately assigning medical codes to patient records, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Your day-to-day tasks will involve reviewing medical documentation, analyzing patient data, and applying coding guidelines to assign relevant codes. Key Responsibilities

• Assign accurate and consistent medical codes to patient records in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Review and analyze medical documentation, including medical histories, diagnoses, and procedures, to determine the most appropriate codes.
• Apply coding guidelines and regulations, such as ICD-10 and CPT, to ensure accurate and consistent coding.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to clarify coding-related issues and ensure accurate documentation.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on coding guidelines, regulations, and industry developments.
• Collaborate with other medical coding specialists to ensure consistency and accuracy in coding practices.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of coding policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a life science or related field, such as biology, anatomy, or physiology.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to review and analyze complex medical data.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently, with attention to detail and a focus on quality.
• Basic computer skills, with proficiency in medical coding software and systems.
• Certification in medical coding, such as CPC or CCS, is a plus but not required.
