Credit Analyst Jobs
Credit analyst roles assess the creditworthiness of loan applicants — reviewing financial statements, calculating key ratios, checking credit history and repayment capacity, and preparing recommendation notes for loan approval decisions at banks, NBFCs, or fintech lenders. It's a role that rewards genuine analytical thinking over rote processing, since misjudging credit risk has real financial consequences for the lender. A finance-focused background (B.Com, BBA-Finance, or MBA-Finance) combined with solid Excel skills and comfort reading financial statements gives freshers a meaningful edge, and fintech lenders increasingly also value basic data literacy given how much modern credit assessment leans on data models alongside traditional analysis. Fresher credit analyst salaries typically range ₹3–6 LPA, with fintech and NBFC roles sometimes paying toward the higher end given faster growth and scale. To stand out, be able to read and interpret a basic balance sheet and P&L statement confidently in an interview — this is consistently the single most-tested practical skill for this specific role.
