About the Role
As a Desktop Support Intern at Sigmoid, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day IT support to the team, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing user accounts, setting up systems for new employees, and maintaining IT assets. This role is ideal for individuals who are eager to learn and gain hands-on experience in IT support.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Manage user accounts, including creating, modifying, and deleting user profiles.
- Set up systems for new employees, including configuring desktops, laptops, and other IT equipment.
- Maintain IT assets, including performing routine maintenance tasks, updating software, and ensuring that all equipment is in good working order.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders, responding to IT-related queries and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with the IT team to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring that IT support is delivered efficiently and effectively.
- Document and track IT-related issues, including creating and maintaining knowledge base articles and troubleshooting guides.
Skills & Qualifications
- Pursuing degree/diploma in Computer Science/IT.
- Basic knowledge of Windows/macOS, MS Office 365, Google Workspace, and networking fundamentals.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Hands-on IT support experience (desirable but not essential).
