Cost Accountant

About the Role

As a Cost Accountant at Smart Work Consultants, you will be responsible for analyzing and managing the financial costs associated with the production process. This includes tasks such as product costing, budgeting, and variance analysis to ensure the company's financial health and profitability.

You will work closely with the finance team to identify areas of cost savings and implement processes to optimize inventory control and stock valuation.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct product costing and analyze costs to ensure accurate pricing and profitability.
• Develop and manage budgets for various departments and projects, ensuring timely and within-budget execution.
• Analyze variances in costs and identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
• Implement and maintain effective inventory control systems to minimize stock obsolescence and optimize stock levels.
• Conduct regular stock valuations to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain financial models and reports to support business decision-making.

Skills & Qualifications

• Cost Accounting principles and practices.
• Product Costing and Variance Analysis.
• Strong MS Excel skills, including data analysis and modeling.
• Experience with Tally ERP or other ERP systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce or related field.
• 0-4 years of experience in Cost Accounting or related field.
