Junior QA Engineer

About the Role

As a Junior QA Engineer at StatusNeo, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of software products by supporting software testing, defect tracking, test case execution, and quality assurance activities. You will work closely with the quality engineering team to identify, document, and communicate defects clearly. Key Responsibilities

• Support software testing activities, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Execute test cases and identify defects in software products.
• Track and document defects in bug tracking tools such as Jira.
• Collaborate with the quality engineering team to develop and maintain test cases.
• Communicate defects clearly to the development team and stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle activities.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software testing.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 0–1 years of experience in software testing, QA, or related role.
• Basic understanding of manual testing concepts, test cases, and defect lifecycle.
• Familiarity with functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Basic knowledge of automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
• Working knowledge of bug tracking tools such as Jira or similar.
• Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
