MERN Stack Developer

About the Role

As a MERN Stack Developer at The Bombay Group, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable web applications using the MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) technology stack. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, and collaborate with other developers to ensure seamless integration of features and functionality.

On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to spend most of your time writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code in JavaScript, using frameworks like React and Express.js to build responsive and interactive web applications. You will also work with MongoDB to design and implement robust database schemas, and use REST APIs to integrate with other services and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable web applications using the MERN technology stack.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in JavaScript, using frameworks like React and Express.js.
• Work with MongoDB to design and implement robust database schemas.
• Use REST APIs to integrate with other services and systems.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code and best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the MERN ecosystem.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of JavaScript, including its syntax, semantics, and best practices.
• Experience with React, including its core concepts, components, and lifecycle methods.
• Knowledge of Express.js, including its middleware, routing, and templating engines.
• Understanding of MongoDB, including its data modeling, schema design, and query optimization techniques.
• Experience with Node.js, including its event-driven, non-blocking I/O model and built-in modules.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap for front-end development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
