About the Role
As a Desktop Support professional at our company, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to employees with their desktop-related issues, including hardware and software troubleshooting, printer and peripheral device management, and inventory management. You will work remotely, primarily handling weekend and overnight shifts, ensuring seamless support to our team members.
This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to effectively resolve technical issues and provide training to users.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to employees via phone, email, or remote desktop sessions for desktop-related issues.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, including printer and peripheral device issues.
- Manage inventory of desktop equipment, software, and accessories.
- Develop and deliver training sessions to employees on desktop software and hardware usage.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Document and track technical issues and resolutions for future reference.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements in desktop support.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 0-4 years of experience in desktop support or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of desktop hardware and software, including operating systems, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management principles.
- Familiarity with helpdesk software and tools.
