About the Role

This Australian Accounting & Tax role at Venus Accountants Pty Ltd involves handling day-to-day accounting tasks, preparing and lodging tax returns, and maintaining accurate financial records for Australian clients.

As a fresher, you'll have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, learn about Australian taxation laws, and develop your accounting skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge Australian tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients, including ledgers, journals, and balance sheets
• Perform bookkeeping tasks, such as reconciliations and account reconciliations
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
• Communicate with clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored accounting solutions
• Stay up-to-date with changes in Australian taxation laws and regulations
• Collaborate with senior accountants to ensure high-quality work and meet deadlines

Skills & Qualifications

• Australian Taxation knowledge and experience
• Accounting skills, including financial statement preparation and analysis
• Bookkeeping skills, including reconciliations and account reconciliations
• Chartered Accountant (CA) certification or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Accounting
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as Xero or MYOB
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
