Data Scientist

About the Role

We are seeking a Data Scientist to design and develop analytical models and insight packs that support local markets, partner markets, and corporate accounts.

The role focuses on transforming raw data into actionable intelligence through predictive and descriptive statistical techniques across diverse data environments.

Based in Pune, the individual will work collaboratively with business and commercial teams to drive informed decision-making and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, test, and deliver analytical models leveraging new and existing datasets to support defined use cases.
• Perform data preparation, cleansing, and optimisation using SQL and NoSQL technologies.
• Develop descriptive and predictive models tailored to specific customer segments, products, and services.
• Support business stakeholders by contributing to decision-making processes through data-driven insights.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to present recommendations based on analytical outcomes.
• Contribute to product management activities by identifying and defining customer-facing analytics use cases.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in advanced analytics techniques such as descriptive, predictive, and optimisation modelling.
• Comfortable working with complex, high-volume, and high-dimensional datasets (preferably using Hadoop or Spark).
• Proficient in SQL and database technologies such as Teradata, Oracle, or MySQL.
• Skilled in applying machine learning techniques to practical business problems.
• Experience in statistical tools such as Python, R, SAS, MATLAB, or SPSS.
• Educated in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field, with relevant experience.
