Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs to power the vybe cabs platform.
• Implement new features, optimize performance, and ensure system reliability.
• Integrate third-party services such as payment gateways, mapping, and notification systems.
• Collaborate closely with front-end engineers, mobile developers, product managers, and QA to deliver secure, high-quality releases.
• Participate in code reviews, improve development workflows, and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Develop and maintain clean, maintainable codebases using modern backend languages and frameworks.
• Ensure the security and integrity of the backend services and APIs.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong skills in Back-End Web Development and general Software Development for building scalable, secure services.
• Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) for designing clean, maintainable codebases.
• Basic understanding of Front-End Development to collaborate effectively with client-side teams.
• Experience with modern backend languages and frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Java, Python, Go, or similar) and RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
• Knowledge of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), caching, messaging queues, and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization (Docker), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
