Accountant

About the Role

This Accountant position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a crucial role in providing financial insights to support business decisions. Your day-to-day tasks will involve bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliation, statutory compliance, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and accurately record daily financial transactions.
• Process vendor payments, verify bills, and follow up with clients to ensure timely collections.
• Reconcile bank statements, petty cash, and client ledgers to resolve discrepancies.
• Handle tax computations and filings, including GST and TDS, and assist in payroll processing.
• Prepare trial balances, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, and provide necessary documentation during internal/external audits.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
• Proficiency in MS-Office and MS-Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with accounting software and systems.
