Job Description
About the Role
As an Intern in IT Security & Operations, you will spend your days monitoring security alerts, analyzing threat data, and assisting in the implementation of security controls across the organization’s cloud and on‑prem environments. You’ll also help build dashboards that translate raw security events into actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate SIEM/SOAR tools to triage alerts, investigate anomalies, and document incident responses.
- Assist in vulnerability scanning and patch management, ensuring timely remediation of identified weaknesses.
- Support the integration of cloud applications with Microsoft Entra ID and Azure AD Identity Protection, troubleshooting authentication and authorization issues.
- Create and maintain security dashboards, scorecards, and compliance reports using data from multiple platforms.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to enforce access controls and develop security playbooks.
- Participate in periodic security audits, documenting findings and recommending improvements.
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry best practices, sharing insights with the team.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Basic understanding of Zero‑Trust architecture and defense‑in‑depth principles.
- Familiarity with SIEM/SOAR, XDR, and security playbooks.
- Knowledge of Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) concepts and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Strong grasp of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and the OSI model.
- Ability to translate technical data into clear, visual presentations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
